I got a Microsoft Edge Critical Error, all red screen with audio telling me my computer is infected, I think it is fake but not sure.
Accepted AnswerPCrisk SupportTomas MeskauskasOffline0Hi Jennifer, the screen you are seeing is definitely fake - should look something similar to this one - https://www.pcrisk.com/removal-guides/11740-microsoft-edge-critical-error-scam It's a fake tech support scam, the main task of such rogue pop-ups is to trick PC users into calling the numbers provided in the pop-up. If the user calls the numbers they are then asked to pay up to $500 for virus removal and other computer fixing services that in reality are not needed. Simply close the pop-up (using task manager or simply restart your computer), to be sure that your computer is not infected with adware (they are known to cause such pop-up) scan your computer with legitimate anti-malware program (https://www.pcrisk.com/top-spyware-removers).
