I got the pop up about the Zues Virus. I called the number and let the guy have access to my computer remotely. I'm an idiot. Was he able to get all my word and excel documents?

I got the pop up about the Zues virus. Like an idiot I fell for it and called the number. I gave the guy access to my computer. Did he get all my word and excel documents?

Hi Cheryl, it's a tough question - but if I had to guess I would say that these tech support scammers didn't steal your word and excel documents. Their main objective when tricking computer users is to gain access to one's PC and then pretend that it's infected with various viruses. Tech support scammers then charge $100-$300 to supposedly clean these infections (that didn't exist in the first place). Note that this is just my opinion.
