When I try to remove Desktop Temperature Monitor from my Windows 7 system using Add/Remove Programs. What appears to be a proprietary Uninstall program opens, which starts processing, gets to about 30% completion and then just stagnates, forever. I have to use Task Manager to stop the stagnated uninstall process and the malware remains. How do I get Desktop Temperature Monitor to uninstall?

0Hi Steve, if you can't remove Desktop Temperature Monitor adware using Control Panel you could try using third party tools to assist you in this task. (Before using these tools you might want to check if you have logged on your operating system as administrator). You could try using:
CCleaner
Download, install and run CCleaner. After launching the program select "Tools". In the uninstall programs list select the program you want to uninstall and click the "Run Uninstaller" button.
Revo Uninstaller
Download, install and run Revo Uninstaller. After launching the program select the program you want to uninstall from the list and click on the "uninstall" button.
IObit uninstaller
Download, install and run IObit Uninstaller. After launching the program select the program you want to uninstall from the list and click on the "uninstall" button.
PS. At time of testing I was able to uninstall this adware using Revo Uninstaller. Notice that usually Desktop Temperature Monitor adware installs together with other adware - there's a good chance your PC is infected with other potentially unwanted programs, I would recommend scanning your computer with Malwarebytes Antimalware and SpyHunter.References:
