About 10 minutes ago, I got an antivirus popup asking me if I'd like to allow a program I didn't recognize to alter my computer. I of course clicked no, and after looking up the program ("Browser Guardian") went about getting rid of it. I uninstalled it from the control panel (if I'd had any doubts about it before, they would have been dissipated by an unsolvable captcha being required for the usual uninstall - ended up needing to use IObit Uninstaller), then checked my extensions to see if I had anything. I had an adblock software I didn't remember downloading, so I got rid of that. Now, there are no extensions listed except my usual adblocker. However, "Ads by Browser Guardian" is still showing up on web pages, and ad links are getting thrown everywhere. Anyone know how to finish this off?
