Adware help please

HI, I'm trying to find advice on how to remove Error 268D3. Some advice is to go to Safari and click Preferences but this is in pale grey and won't click. I've also read to go to search, type Safari and click Enter to open a Safari without the adware window but this doesn't open a window without the adware. Is there something else I can try? many thanks, Steve

Hi Steve, you should scan your computer with Malwarebytes Antimalware for Mac - https://www.malwarebytes.com/antimalware/mac/ This application is great at detecting potentially unwanted applications and adware. This should fix your adware problems.
